Mosso Hosting - not your typical host.

in Reliable Hosting

One of my favorite bloggers, Chris Brogan, had some good things to say in a recent post about Mosso Hosting.  Seems as though he is using their services, and after taking a look into it ourselves - you could do well by following his example.

Mosso hosting is by no means a “budget host“, if you’re looking for an “under $20/month” hosting package - probably best to go with another host.  For those of you who are in the business of building web pages and/or providing hosting to your customers, Mosso provides a scalable and reliable service requiring very little in terms of system administration.

A while back we wrote a post about “avoiding downtime on your site“, where we spoke a little about budget Shared Hosting plans and how they can’t really meet the traffic needs of a popular site.  Mosso hosting seems to be a great alternative for those who are aggressively marketing their site for maximum traffic.  Everyone has great things to say about the service, it’s refreshing to hear of a service that works well and is relatively headache free.

Their site is well-designed, straight-forward, and allows the consumer to see very clearly what services are available with up-front pricing information.  Their customer service line is fast, efficient, with very little waiting time for an agent.  Even their chat support is fast and easy.

Mosso is a refreshing change to say the least.  The budget hosts essentially make money based on volume, with that many customers - reliability and customer service often takes a backseat.  Mosso appears to have a more “customer-centric” business model, so if you have the budget to spend check out Mosso.

Definitely agree with you (and Chris) on how awesome Mosso hosting is. I’ve been with them for almost two months now, and I can honestly say that their support is by far the most amazing I have ever received by a company. They beat the socks off of any competition, and I get excited when I have an opportunity to work with the team.

I’m currently working on reselling their service to others to balance out the costs, but even if I can’t make the $100 a month charge, I will do everything I can to stay with them. I would recommend them at every chance I could get.
